剛剛看了South Park第七季的第十四集【Raisins】。這一集其實頗簡單，但背後的message卻頗有意思。Raisins是南方公園裡的一間餐廳，裡面除了Cartman最喜歡的廉價食物外，還有大堆正妹女侍應。故事講Wendy移情別戀劈腿，為了安撫極度沮喪的Stan，大伙兒便帶他去Raisins「尋歡」，店裡的正妹對Stan毫無作用，反而是Butters自作多情喜歡了其中一個女孩；Stan感到「生無可戀」，後來加入成為Goth Kids的一員，Butters單方面跟侍應「熱戀」，很快便囊空如洗。

後來正妹跟butters講清一切後，Goth Kids欲拉攏蹲在街上痛哭的butters成為其中一員，但butters卻果斷回絕兼對Stan「曉以大義」：

Butters: Uh, uhm no thanks. I I love life.

Stan: Huh? But you just got dumped

Butters: Wuh-ell yeah, and I’m sad, but at the same time I’m really happy that somethin’ could make me feel that sad. It’s like, ih ih, ih it makes me feel alive, you know? It makes me feel human. And the only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt somethin’ really good before. So I have to take the bad with the good, so I guess what I’m feelin’ is like a, beautiful sadness. I guess that sounds stupid…

south park不去諷刺社會名人的時候，其實也可以很有意思。我們痛苦，所以活著。我們活著，所以才會感受到所謂的「beautiful sadness」。Butters傻裡傻氣得又可愛，難怪人氣在一眾小孩中長期高據不下。
